Clarion Call is a chronicle of the Order of Saint Clare and of the Nuns who have followed Clare's way of life" from her day until the present time.
To commemorate the 8th Centenary of the birth of Saint Clare, Poor Clares from all over the world have contributed to the work of preparing this extensive and lucid presentation, providing the reader with first-hand acccounts of the history of their respective monasteries, their present situation and what it means to be a Franciscan Contemplative Woman in 1993.
This book will be of interest not only to all Franciscans, but to anyone interested in the evolvement of the monastic/contemplative life through centuries as well as those who love the Poor Clare Nuns and support them in prayer and sacrifice.
Included are 300 pictures of the Nuns and the Monasteries they live in.
